Offered everything we required for one night, very clean room, lovely bathroom/shower and a great view. Recommend the “lamb cawl ” from the bar for dinner, we both enjoyed it. Most importantly Dog Friendly and very accommodating owners…. Thank you for your hospitality
Spent a night at this great inn. Lovely host staff, decent grub, great beer. The breakfast was substantial and tasty and they bring out enough coffee to make even me human. Very reasonably priced. Good for a day trip to Hay on Wye or Raglan castle.
My wife and I were very happy with our stay at The Harp Inn, the staff and owners were very welcoming, just the right amount of interaction, friendly but not over the top. We had a meal, fish and chips and pie and chips, which was nice pub food, the full english breakfast was very well presented and tasty. The bar was well stocked and fairly priced with a lovely warm fire. Open Mic night was a bonus for us to watch and join in badly. The room was immaculately clean with plenty of wardrobe space and a lovely en suite. We would have no hesitation in returning.
Extremely friendly staff and an excellent jacket potato! The food was great quality and served with care a really enjoyable experience from start to finish. Sitting in the garden under the large apple tree, and the fact it’s dog friendly was a real bonus.
Great place to stay if visiting Hay-on-Wye (or alternatively walking in the local area). We had a clean, bright and airy room with a great en-suite. Lovely pub food (we ate dinner and breakfast there). Would really recommend.

Lucky that this is our local. The chicken in whiskey sauce is lovely and warming after an outdoorsy day. A wonderful welcome guaranteed. Heart of the community.
We arrived at around 2:45pm after doing 12 miles of our Offa’s dyke run. Very tired and hungry. Thankfully they were nice enough to cook some lunch even though the kitchen had already closed. Great meal and all staff very friendly, nice beer too
